The AIM Center of Excellence pre-apprenticeship training program is positioned to expose youth to high demand career opportunities in aviation maintenance with the goal of training 75 professionals each year and offering micro credentials for credit & certification. So what does this mean for Salina Public Schools? It means more choices for our students. After the center is up and running in early 2024, students from Central and South high schools will have the chance to join in. We're thrilled to work with Salina Family Healthcare Center (SFHC) for another year to offer flu vaccinations for our hardworking staff. With their two pop-up clinics, our teachers and staff members were able to receive preventative care right after dismissal and conveniently on campus. Thanks to SFHC's commitment to our school community, we can stay healthy and keep our school running smoothly. Here's to another successful year of collaboration with SFHC! We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Information Technology and Security to join our team. This individual will manage and direct the district's IT operations and school safety/security program, playing a crucial role in promoting our effectiveness as a learning organization. Key functions include providing leadership and technical support, assessing and upgrading the district's technology initiatives, and ensuring network security. This role requires extensive expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining an efficient, unified, and fully integrated technology system. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate proficiency in researching computer hardware and software applications, vendors, consultants, and current technology trends. Furthermore, the position involves developing and monitoring the technology budget, preparing specifications, bidding documents, and cost estimates for all projects, and collaborating with the director of professional learning to design technical courses for personnel training. As the liaison between the school district and emergency responders, the Director will also facilitate the development and implementation of district and building crisis plans, safety, and security processes and training. Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and professional written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, strategic thinking and business management experience, and proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google platforms. Salina Public Schools is looking for an Executive Director of Maintenance and Operations. This position is responsible for the planning, organizing and directing the construction, maintenance, repair and alteration of district buildings and grounds; serving as the district representative in planning and developing facilities and new construction; ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and within both regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines; preparing and managing annual budgets for the maintenance, grounds and custodial departments; direct provisions of building maintenance, operation or janitorial functions. This position also oversees transportation, maintenance and custodial services.
