Event Description: Join writers Lori Brack and Patricia Traxler for an informal discussion and consideration of the poetry of John Keats. This program is held in conjunction with the screening of the film "Bright Star" at the Art Center Cinema November 27-December 3. Traxler and Brack will provide copies and discussion of a few Keats poems, explore what in today's world might have energized a renewed interest in Romanticism (which was itself a reaction to the Industrial Revolution), present a brief overview of the Romantic poets, and consider the poetry in the film. The discussion is FREE and open to all.

Scott says of the film, "Bright Star," "You will want to stay until the very last bit of the end credits, not necessarily to read the name of each gaffer and grip, but rather to savor every syllable of the [actor's] recitiation of 'Ode to a Nightingale.'"
