Event Description: The Society of Animal Artists was founded in 1960. Today the Society's membership is 300 artists strong. Members work in all types of media including paint, pastel, pencil, wood, stone, steel and bronze. In September 2009, The Society of Animal Artists will be holding their 49th annual Members Exhibition. Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure has the privilege of hosting this premiere art show, which will open to the public on September 5, 2009 in the Earl Bane Gallery of Rolling Hills Wildlife Museum. Although in its 49th year, this will be only the second time the premiere show has ever been held in Kansas.

Approximately 120 pieces of flat works and sculptures will be on display at Rolling Hills through November 1, 2009. Access to view this remarkable collection is included with your museum admission.

Many activities are scheduled for Labor Day weekend at the Zoo and Museum. In addition, numerous animal-themed events and activities are scheduled throughout the community this fall.
